Só arbei Kubota op aarbeiplaas

Mike Miller en sy seun, Mark, van die Redberry-aarbeiplaas net buite George, het so ses jaar gelede half langtand gebyt aan die gedagte om die L39-trekker-laaigraaf-trugrawer (TLB) van Kubota aan te koop, want hulle het gedink hulle sal dit net af en toe kan gebruik.

Die L39 reik ver en grawe diep. Dit kan as ’n gewone trekker ook gebruik word, maar wie wil nou? Daar is genoeg werk op Redberry vir hom!

Iando Minnie van Carlu Trekkers vertel dat die Millers se doel was om die masjien as gewone trekker in te span en dan net die arms te haak as daar grouwerk gedoen moet word. Hy sê na so ’n jaar se daaglikse gebruik het Mike hom gebel om te sê hy moet hulle net weer een of ander tyd kom wys hoe om die arms af te haal!

Cairns Foods – Four Kipor forklifts lift into Zimbabwe

[Johannesburg, 02 August 2017]: Smith Power Equipment, the sole importer and distributor of the Kipor range of forklifts in South Africa, has supplied a total of four Kipor KDF 25 units to Cairns Foods, a major grocery and wine producer in Zimbabwe.

In today’s materials handling market, being a supplier that can address any problem statement optimally and service end users’ needs across board from a reliable product, through to aftermarket support, is more critical than ever. This was the basis on which Smith Power Equipment (SPE) recently won a nearly R1-million order to supply a total of four KDF 25 diesel forklifts to Cairns Foods of Zimbabwe.

Smith Power gives power to Fresh Stop’s 250th store

The 250th Fresh Stop was recently opened at the Caltex Croydon service station and Smith Power Equipment (SPE) has provided the backup power for it and the rest of the station.

Caltex Croydon retailer and well-known entrepreneur, Lesley Masia, says that he is excited about the effect that Fresh Stop will have on business and also thanked Smith for the effort they made in providing him the 150 kva generator for backup power. The generator, which has a Cummins engine and Stamford alternator was custom-built for Caltex Croydon.

Kipor in Forklift Coup at Metal Connection

Top Boksburg-based scrap metal recycler, Metal Connection, has replaced its fleet of forklifts with four spanking new Kipor forklifts. Metal Connection’s Johann de Meyer says that the previous forklifts were no longer economical and the provider’s service levels had dropped off quite drastically.

I had bought a Kipor 5.5t excavator and I was impressed with its performance. I then decided to look into buying new Kipor forklifts,” de Meyer says.

In tough economic times when cash can be a rare commodity, buying new forklifts is certainly not always the only option. Smith Power Equipment (SPE) has, time again, shown that buying second-hand, refurbished forklifts from them is certainly a viable alternative.

A good example of a satisfied customer who did just this is Dewald Walters, managing director of well-known project management and fabrication company, WPPS, who recently bought two Kipor 2.5 diesel forklifts that had done about 4000 and 8000 hours respectively and were refurbished by the SPE team.
