TORO THE ROCK AT PAARL SHOW
At the recent Trade Day held at the Paarl Gold Club on 16th May 2014, TORO showed why it has become one of the most popular turf maintenance brands on the planet. On display was a wide range of TORO equipment for golf courses, sports fields and general municipal needs. “We have developed a reputation for excellence in product quality and service and it was good to be able to show these attributes off in Paarl,” said TORO’s Stephan Gerber.
He added that even though this was the first time the show was held, it was pleasing to see a good attendance. We hope the show grows from strength to strength,” he said.

Born in the shadow of the Hottentots-Holland mountain range in the Western Cape, Deon was driving tractors almost before he could ride a bike. “At the age of ten I was already doing a host of chores on the farm which required driving a tractor and ever since then these power-house machines have been a real passion for me,” Engelke says.
A body stripped naked would undoubtedly cause much consternation at South Africa’s premier agricultural show NAMPO. And, at the latest NAMPO, held in Bothaville in May 2014, this is exactly what happened. Fortunately for all the visitors it was the body of a Kubota tractor… but the consternation was no less.

Die Suid-Afrikaanse trekkermork kan nie te onderhou, en jy het ‘n wenner. Anders as om kennis te neem van Kubota se opkoms in die mededingende sektor nie. Ondanks ‘n beskeie beg in net meer as ‘n dekade gelede het die stootmokers nou ‘n aansienlike aandeel von plaaslike verkope.
As door in og geneem word dot die plaaslike mark die ofgelope drie tot vier jaar byna onveranderd gebly het, is dit nie te versmaai nie. “Die ofgelope jaar se groei dui daarop dot die produk meer en meer oonvaor word,” se Deon Engelke van Smith Power Equipment, die plaaslike verspreider van Kubota.
